VIDEO Former Ajax player Veltman saves ‘clubmate’ from chimney | Football

In the end it turned out that a seagull got stuck and so the former Ajax player spent his Sunday rescuing the bird. And that barely 24 hours after he was with Brighton – yes, nickname The Seagulls – Manchester United fooled: 4-0.

Veltman, 30, donned an oven glove to save the animal, because the gull had gotten stuck in the chimney. After the defender rescued the somewhat dazed animal, he released the seagull and it flew – apparently – without injuries, according to social media.

He added: “One seagull releasing another!” Veltman went from Ajax to Brighton in the summer of 2020. He played a total of 60 games for the club, scoring once.
