Antoinette Hertsenberg was surprised on Sunday with the Media Oeuvre Award. The presenter was presented with the prize in the Radio 1 program De Perstribune from former TROS program director Gerard Baars.
The jury, consisting of AD columnist Angela de Jong and Speak tube publisher Richard Otto, calls it “incomprehensible that she has never won the prize for best TV interviewer, because she knows better than anyone how to bring any opponent to their knees, from rogue usury boys to ill-prepared spokespersons”. The presenter of, among others, Oplicht?!, EenVandaag and Dokters van Morgen is further praised for her indefatigability and fearlessness.
The Media Oeuvre Award is a prize from the professional platform Laatbuis.nl and is presented annually to someone from the media world who has had a major influence on the Dutch media landscape. Previous winners were Jan Slagter and André van Duin.
