Today Inside returns to television on Monday evening. Johan Derksen, Wilfred Genee and René van der Gijp decided to continue with the program after they stopped at the end of April. The reason was the fuss that arose after Derksen said that he had penetrated an unconscious woman with a candle half a century ago.

He later recanted his story, saying there had been no penetration. For Derksen, however, the criticism was the last straw: he wanted to stop the program. Genee then let it be known that it would be ready for him and Van der Gijp too. Last week it was announced that the program will return on Monday. It is not yet clear what Today Inside will look like.

Derksen does not return everywhere. His blues tour was canceled and his programs at the radio stations Rijnmond and NH Media were canceled after the statements. He has not yet been welcomed there.
