Experts already admitted in the last episode of MAFS that they had dropped a ‘decent stitch’ by linking Maurice to Arjan, but his adventure with Dennis – with whom he later found his match – turned out to be unsuccessful. In Married At First Sight: How Are You Now? tell the men how their adventure ended.

“To get straight to the point: unfortunately we are no longer together,” says Maurice frankly. “The start was really amazing for me, from date 1, then date 2 and then the couples weekend… I really sat on a pink cloud. I did experience that after that it became more difficult to find each other, which created a distance between us.”

Dennis can only confirm this. “That feeling in the beginning was good. We had a great time together right away,” he says. “There was no love yet. I was like, okay, that could come.” Maurice, on the other hand, was immediately in love, but felt that Dennis was searching, which caused him to ‘fall off his pink cloud’. “Then I will also protect myself very much not to be hurt, that was the tipping point for me.”

It eventually led to the two having less and less contact and the chance of a future together becoming smaller and smaller. Dennis has now ruled this out completely. “If the feeling isn’t there yet, the question is whether it will come…I don’t think so.”
