Emotional Tsonga says goodbye to tennis at ‘his’ Roland Garros | Tennis

Tsonga served in the fourth set at 6-5 for the set, but he sustained an arm injury. He lost the game and was then treated for minutes. After a medical time-out, he did not win a point in the tiebreak.

Before the final point, the emotional Tsonga received a standing ovation from the crowd on the Court Philippe Chatrier, which was completely packed. Immediately afterwards, Tsonga was honored for his achievements. As a surprise, many other French tennis players were also present. There were also messages from Rafael Nadal, among others, on a large screen.

Tsonga reached the final of the Australian Open in 2008.
